A Safer Place
Your safety is our priority. That means tackling anti-social behaviour, improving security information and working closely with neighbouring BIDs, the Metropolitan Police and Westminster City Council to share intelligence and take action on problems.
Marble Arch BID provides a safer environment for staff, residents, visitors and hotel guests by:
- Providing a dedicated uniformed Street Team in the area to discourage anti-social behaviour and assist and reassure businesses, communities and visitors.
- Operating the Marble Arch Business Security Zone with Counter Terrorism officers and offering free training to office-based businesses.
- Championing causes and lobbying for action through Police and City Council advisory groups.
- Delivering bespoke training for frontline staff covering security, managing aggressive behaviour and identifying and dealing with fraud, for businesses in retail and hospitality.
The Street Team work Tuesday to Saturday. From 1 March 2017 a new morning shift will see the team on duty at the following times during the winter (October to April): Tuesday to Thursday 8am to 8pm; Friday 8am to 9pm; Saturday 8am to 10pm. In the summer (May to September) the team will be on duty from 8am right through to midnight, Tuesday to Saturday.
