Employee ID Documents Workshop

We are offering employers in the Marble Arch BID area an exclusive workshop to better understand employee identity documents. In light of recent events, the National Counter Terrorism Security Office (NaCTSO) has developed this counter terrorism workshop to help businesses spot forged documents. The workshop is supported by the National Document Fraud Unit using trained officers from the Counter Terrorism network.

By teaching practical steps, the workshop will increase businesses’ understanding of identity documents and the potential for abuse. It includes hands-on examinations of both counterfeit and genuine documents to gain a better understanding of the security features used. Attendees will learn about: Document Construction, Watermarks, Intaglio ink, Latent images, UV, Optically Variable Inks and Microprint.

HR and recruitment professionals, as well as those who are required to verify ID documents on a regular basis, will benefit the most from this workshop.

Following Project Griffin, this is the second workshop in a series of events for businesses in the Marble Arch and Edgware Road area, which is leading towards the creation of a local security network. If you are interested in becoming part of this, please let us know.

Join us on Thursday, 6 July from 11:00am until 1:00pm at the Victory Services Club, 63-79 Seymour Street, W2 2HF. Refreshments will be available from 10.30 am.

To register for the event or for more information please contact Ruth Sherski in the BID team.
