Koshary El Tahrir

Koshary El-Tahrir has been faithfully serving Egyptians since 1963 and has now opened its doors on Edgware Road. The beloved Egyptian culinary staple koshary (also called koshari) is found everywhere on Egypt’s streets and thought to be an adaptation of the Indian rice-lentils dish kitchari. Koshary mixes lentils, macaroni noodles and rice into a single dish. It’s then topped with a spicy tomato sauce with a Middle Eastern spice blend, garbanzo beans, and fried onions. You can now try this authentic Egyptian vegetarian staple on Edgware Road!
