Employee volunteers at Adams Street Partners took to the water recently for a canal clean-up with GoBoat Paddington.
The crew of six from its Great Cumberland Place office set sail in their eco-friendly, electric-powered boat to help do their bit to improve the environment around the Grand Union and Little Venice Canal.
The activity was part of Marble Arch BID’s Community Programme, which connects local businesses with employee volunteering opportunities.
Equipped with nets and litter pickers, the team helped remove rubbish and plastic pollution from the surface of the water.

According to Canal and River Trust research, around 14 million pieces of plastic rubbish ends up in our canals and rivers each year. This causes the potential to damage waterside habitats and risk serious injury or even suffocation of wildlife.
Thank you to the volunteers at Adams Street Partners for helping keep this much-loved scenic city route welcoming and free from pollution.
Let the litter pick begin!

A job well done! Bags of canal rubbish removed.
