Board Games Extravaganza – Host a table

Savvy at Scrabble? Cunning at Cluedo? Join our Board Game Extravaganza on Friday 20 October, part of Silver Sunday 2023.

Marble Arch Partnership is seeking volunteers from local businesses and elderly people from the local community for an afternoon of amusement, cheer and togetherness. Refreshments will be provided and you are welcome to bring your favourite board game, deck of cards or set of dominoes. Volunteers will help to host tables, challenge guests to a round of their chosen game and ensure everyone who attends has a fun-filled afternoon.

Take a look at our last board-gaming gala in 2019 for an idea of what’s in store!

Launched in 2012 by the Sir Simon Milton Foundation and Westminster City CouncilSilver Sunday has grown into a nationwide campaign to raise awareness of loneliness and isolation amongst the elderly and to celebrate older people.

Silver Sunday is a powerful vehicle to draw attention to the problem of loneliness amongst older people. Celebrating the contribution of older people to society, the campaign also aims to improve their happiness and wellbeing and presents an opportunity to bring generations together. The campaign is supported by influential organisations and brands such as the English National Ballet, Bupa, Metro Bank and many more.
