The importance of social connections to enhance wellbeing was the theme of Bridgepoint volunteers’ recent community engagement. Rounding off its Wellbeing Week programme of activities for staff, which included park runs and sound baths, Bridgepoint employee volunteers ran a Summer Wellbeing Morning at a local residential home.
Five employee volunteers from Bridgepoint, based at 5 Marble Arch Place, supported the activity on 27 June 2025 at Penfold Community Hub through our Community Programme. Penfold Community Hub, based at Penfold Court, delivers a programme of activities for older people, including those living with dementia, welcoming support from across the community to deliver its activities.

Bridgepoint volunteers led a fun-filled morning at Penfold Community Hub.
Employee volunteers generously donated a range of cakes and healthy snacks, including a wonderful fruit basket of fresh strawberries, bananas and apples to enjoy as social networks were expanded and the conversation flowed during the event.
Volunteers served up tea and coffee, as well as Lemon & Lime and Summer Berry juices for those feeling the heat, alongside the tasty snacks.
The fun-filled morning also included some friendly games of Connect Four, Jenga and jigsaw puzzling, as well as a walk around the Penfold garden to take in the tranquil surroundings of the fishpond and beautiful flowers.
A huge thank you to all the Bridgepoint volunteers for extending its Wellbeing Week to older people in the community.
