Business Crime Group, 6 June 2024

Please join the Marble Arch BID team for our Business Crime Group, which will be held in person on Thursday 6 June 2024 from 2pm to 4pm at the Hilton London Metropole.

Any business in the Marble Arch area can attend to receive up to date trends and advice from the Metropolitan Police and Westminster City Council. The Marble Arch BID Street Team supervisor will also be present for you to meet, if you have not already.

The meeting will include insights on issues affecting the Edgware Road and Marble Arch area and a specific focus on phone thefts, rough sleeping and begging with representatives from Westminster City Council and the Metropolitan Police.

Session will include:

Metropolitan Police:

  • Local crime trends and policing priorities from the police, include advice about phone theft/snatches
  • Advice on how to report crime, including business crime, importance of reporting, Operation Retail and violence against business employees
  • Update on their recent operations, current priorities and insights, as well as answering any questions that our members would like to ask

Westminster City Council:

  • Our dedicated neighbourhood coordinator from Westminster City Council will brief our members on the work that has been taking place, include rough sleeping and begging
  • Advice on how to report street issues, plus updates on their recent operations and business priorities, as well as answering any questions that our members would like to ask

There will also be an opportunity to share your experiences of the recent protests at Marble Arch, how your business was or was not affected, any feedback on our weekly security and operations updates and police ‘X’ updates (@metpoliceuk and @MPSWestminster).
