Christmas Wrapping at Montcalm Supports Homeless Charity

Christmas wrapping at Montcalm Marble Arch has raised money for a local homeless charity.

The team at Montcalm Marble Arch volunteered to host a Christmas wrapping station for their guests with all proceeds going to the West London Mission (WLM).

WLM is a homeless charity that operates within six different locations around London, including locally on Seymour Place, which is currently undergoing a major refurbishment. WLM Seymour Place provides comprehensive advice and referral services to people affected by homelessness, as well as on-site health support.

Montcalm guests were encouraged to make a small donation of £5 to have their presents beautifully wrapped and support those affected by homelessness, poverty and trauma this winter.

The Montcalm Marble Arch Team said they were ‘”delighted to be able to support WLM over the festive period with a wrapping station inside The Montcalm Marble Arch. With 100% of proceeds going directly to the charity, we’re confident the generosity of our guests will make a real impact in the lives of the Londoners who need it most.”

West London Mission recently launched its first ever advertising campaign, bringing to life the human side of homelessness and highlighting individuals affected by homelessness. Not Who They Are seeks to help people relate more to the people they might see on the streets – each of them with different backgrounds, different problems, different strengths and different stories.

WLM said, “In making the problem feel more real, our hope is that people will consider helping our mission of getting homeless individuals off the street and, more importantly, into permanent accommodation and employment. Because homeless is what they are, not who they are.” Donate at wlm.org.uk/donate
