New extended hours for the Marble Arch Street Team began on 11 November 2019.
Our highly visible and double award-winning Street Team will now patrol the BID area Monday to Saturday from 8am to midnight, all year round.
The increase in winter patrol hours means that the team can support local security personnel with late night perimeter patrols and assist London Underground staff with persistent beggars as stations close.
The team will continue to support businesses and stakeholders as well as visitors to the area, discouraging anti-social behaviour, providing security information and sharing intelligence with the police and council over these extended hours.
The Street Team’s presence is recognisable within the community, and sends a powerful message – Marble Arch and Edgware Road are safer spaces within the Westminster community.
During the run up to the lively Halloween and Bonfire night period our Street Team supported the police in their recent Autumn Nights campaign to keep residents safe. They also took part in a community weapons sweep on 8 November, a joint initiative with the police and Westminster City Council and had refresher counter terrorism training that includes looking out for suspicious behaviour and hostile reconnaissance.
If you’d like to book an appointment with the team, please email our Head of Operations, Mike Fairmaner at firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange, or simply look out for them in the area. To call them for immediate help please dial 07825 750777.
Remember, in an emergency, or if a crime is in progress, please dial 999.
