Opening on 7 October 2022 in Marble Arch, Frameless brings art to life in ways you’ve never seen it before. You won’t simply be looking at paintings, you’ll be in them, with every brush stroke, every splash of colour, every moment of inspiration.
Unique and interactive digital interpretations of iconic masterpieces, from artists such as Cezanne, Kandinsky, Monet, Canaletto, Rembrandt and Klimt, will be displayed in a series of spectacular galleries dedicated to four themes: ‘Beyond Reality’, ‘Colour In Motion’, ‘The World Around Us’ and ‘The Art Of Abstraction’.
Situated a short walk from Marble Arch, Frameless is a culturally rich, immersive, multi-dimensional, entertainment experience, and the biggest of its kind in the UK. Among the many world-class attractions already in London, Frameless is certain to become a new landmark cultural destination for visitors to the capital.
Covering 30,000 square feet, visitors will journey through four carefully curated galleries covering a wide variety of both artists and artistic genres, including iconic works by Cezanne, Kandinsky, Monet, Canaletto, Rembrandt and Klimt to name but a few. It is a multi-sensory and highly Instagram-able experience presented using the very latest interactive projection technology.
Frameless has unveiled its four immersive galleries to give a taster of what to expect:
- Beyond Reality: Travel beyond the boundaries of reality and discover iconic artworks that explore other worlds, dreams and the surreal. Artworks include Garden of Earthly Delights by Bosch and The Tree of Life by Klimt, with additional artworks from Munch, Arcimboldo, Lowinsky, Rousseau, Dali and Ernst.
- Colour in Motion: Encounter every brushstroke and slash of paint within these masterpieces, to experience colour in a new way. Artworks include Waterlilies and Japanese Bridge by Monet and Mont Saint-Michel by Signac, with additional artworks from Van Gogh, Seurat, Morisot and Delauney.
- The World Around us: Step into landscapes, cityscapes and seascapes that capture the beauty of our world. Artworks include Avenue at Chantilly by Cezanne and Piazza Di San Marco by Canaletto, with additional artworks from Rembrandt, Monet, Rubens, Turner, Friedrich and Ruysch.
- The Art of Abstraction: Wind through a maze of colour, shape and form to discover the pioneers of abstract art. Artworks include Yellow, Red, Blue by Kandinsky and Composition in Red, Yellow, Blue and Black by Mondrian, with additional artworks from Klimt, Malevich and Klee.
Frameless has partnered with industry leading projection technology provider, Panasonic, who will use the London venue as their global flagship showcase in a bold show of confidence for the experience.
Alongside the four immersive galleries, Frameless houses a Café Bar, which will be open all day and provide a unique setting for a bite to eat and drink. The menu will evolve from early morning coffees and breakfast bites through to Poke bowls and sandwiches, through to an evening menu of sharing boards and a wide selection of drinks. Afternoon Tea will be art-inspired and have a theatrical element. The attraction also includes a multi-purpose event space for private hire and a gift shop.
