Free Bike Marking Event

Marble Arch BID in partnership with the Metropolitan Police will be running a bike marking event at Burwood Place on Wednesday 28 September 2022 12-3pm.

There were 232,000 estimated bicycle theft incidents in 2021* Bike marking is an effective way to prevent and deter the theft of your property. Attend this free event and register your bike on Bike Register, the UK’s national, Police preferred, bicycle marking & registration scheme. Every Police force in the UK uses the BikeRegister database to search for stolen & recovered bikes. registering your bike will help the police to locate the legitimate owners of bikes that have been stolen or resold.

How does BikeRegister work?

  1. Register your bike at our event.
  2. The police will attach a Bike Register sticker with a number unique to your frame.
  3. Your unique number will be added to the Bike Marking National Cycle Database.

Places are limited. To ensure you are able to register your bike, please complete the BikeRegister event form and email it to getinvolved@marble-arch.london. You can also turn up on the day where the police can mark your bike and register it directly on the app.
