Hilton London Metropole celebrates 100 years of Hospitality in style

The Hilton London Metropole celebrated its 100th birthday on Friday 14th June by hosting a healthy eating workshop for 100 local primary school students.

Students from Hampden Gurney, King Solomon Academy, Ark Paddington Green Academy, Christ Church Bentinck C of E Primary and St Mary Magdalene C of E Primary where all in attendance.

Under the careful guidance of Chef Impiazzia, students were encouraged to use their five senses to explore a number of exciting new ingredients. Students were required to follow the Chef’s step by step instructions and design their own spectacular sandwiches.

Next came the part everyone had been waiting for, the taste test.

This was followed by a short speech from Councilor Heather Acton, Cabinet Member for Family Services, Public Health, Education and Schools who discussed the importance of healthy eating.

The morning came to a lively close with students being required to make their very own Vegetable Pledge, promising to commit to their greens .

The Marble Arch Community Programme works closely with several primary and secondary schools who are always keen to welcome visitors from local businesses.
