While school is out for summer, Hilton volunteers have been hard at work brightening up learning spaces ready for children to return in September.

On 31 July 2023, 22 colleagues from Hilton London Metropole headed to Christ Church Bentinck CE Primary School to freshen up the walls during the summer holiday. Hilton volunteers split into teams and between them tackled two corridors and a classroom, giving each area a new coat of paint to brighten up learning spaces.

Hilton London Metropole kindly provided a budget to cover paint and supplies for the day, and colleagues worked hard to ensure walls were thoroughly painted and all areas were left clean and tidy ready for the new academic year.

Activities such as these help local schools to provide a bright, clean environment to encourage learning as the new academic year begins. School budgets and premises teams can be incredibly stretched, so having a local organisation provide not only the time and skills to refresh rooms, but also the budget to cover costs, is hugely appreciated.
