Support Westminster City Council and our wider Westminster community by signing up to be a Homeless Street Count Verifier. The role of a verifier is to support Outreach Workers as they count and engage rough sleepers throughout the borough. The role takes places at night, every other month. The statistics gathered are vital to ensure the council and homeless agencies can continue to best meet the needs of our homeless community.
If you would be interested in volunteering as a Homeless Street Count Verifier, please read through the attached FAQ sheet for more information about the role, what is involved and the support you will receive. Should you be interested in this opportunity please email our community team for a Volunteer Application Form.
We would urge anyone who is moved to help the homeless to support homelessness charities, rather than giving to the homeless directly. You can find out more about helping rough sleepers in Westminster via the Hidden Network.
National Statistics on rough sleeping are published online.
