Imperial Health Charity Winter Appeal

Please help support seriously ill children at St Mary’s Hospital in London by donating to the Imperial Health Charity Winter Appeal.

At St Mary’s Hospital the children’s wards provide the very best care for thousands of young patients from across west London with serious injuries, illnesses and life-threatening health conditions. This winter, as they do all year round, the incredible staff at St Mary’s will be working day and night to take care of them in their hour of need.

As the dedicated charity for St Mary’s and four other London hospitals, Imperial Health Charity are working to offer extra support so that staff can provide even better care for every child. With your kind support this winter, Imperial Health Charity will be able to provide a wide range of extra help at St Mary’s Hospital, making a real difference for thousands of children across west London – and many more who travel from all over the country for specialist care.

Your generous donation could help improve clinical areas and therapy spaces, creating better facilities and surroundings that transform a child’s experience of being in hospital and match the incredible care they receive. Your donation could also help create vibrant and engaging spaces for children to play, helping them reconnect with freedom, fun and adventure while in hospital, and boosting their recovery at the same time.

“Play is what children do. It’s the way they express themselves, it’s the way they learn, it’s the way they develop.”

A gift of £75 could go towards transforming the play room in one of the main children’s wards, creating a modern, multi-purpose play space and therapy area for children and young adults equipped with games, sensory resources and vital therapy equipment specially designed to encourage curiosity, movement and social interaction.

A gift of £25 could go towards providing better resources and facilities in the individual patient rooms for children with complex conditions, ensuring every family has calm and comfortable surroundings while receiving care.

A gift of £10 could go towards expanding the art therapy programme to boost children’s mood, morale and general wellbeing during their time in hospital, offering young patients emotional support and a safe space to process their experiences through creative art.
