The Great British Spring Clean 2020 (Rescheduled Date Confirmed)

Following the success of our partnership in 2018, the Marble Arch London BID and the Royal Parks are again working in collaboration to host our rescheduled Great British Spring Clean event on Thursday 24 September. The Great British Spring Clean is the UK’s largest environmental campaign and is designed to encourage people to tidy up and look after their local parks, streets and waterways.

This year, Marble Arch colleagues will be supporting the Royal Parks by clearing turf to make a base for a new wild life friendly hedge in Hyde Park. The area of Hyde Park covers 350 acres, hosts nearly 13 million visitors a year and is home to a vast array of wildlife. The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted how important green spaces are to the community and we have decided to commit this years Great British Spring Clean efforts to caring for our park.

Volunteers will be split into three teams of five and will start at staggered times to ensure up to date social distancing guidance is followed. Unfortunately, we have had to limit our volunteer numbers this year and have now allocated all our available spaces. We do apologise for any disappointment and very much look forward to welcoming larger numbers next year.
