Marble Arch businesses helped inspire and inform over 160 local students about industries right on their doorstep at a Careers Fair on 15 October 2025.

The event, held at Marylebone Boys School, saw employees speak to students and their parents about career pathways, industry insights and answer questions about the world of work. The 90-minute event, for students aged between 11 to 17, included those at the earlier stages of thinking about careers and those actively looking to join apprenticeship programmes next year.
The companies and organisations represented worked a stone’s throw from the school and reflected the range of career opportunities available right on their doorsteps. Staff from London Marriott Hotel Marble Arch, Hammerson and Sowga talked about their respective industries of hospitality, property development and engineering.
Careers fairs are an increasingly important way of helping students make careers decisions in a friendly and informative way. A post-Covid study of 1,000 UK secondary students by Launch Your Career found that 70% did not know or are unsure about what they want to do for a career when they leave school.
Volunteers were asked a range of questions such as what grades are needed to enter different professions, what a typical day involves for your job, as well as interest in opportunities to carry out work experience at the companies.
Thank you to all the employees who gave up their time to inspire the next generation.
