MOCO Museum heading to London’s Marble Arch

Plans to bring a brand new MOCO Museum to London’s Marble Arch were approved by Westminster Council on 3 October. MOCO Museum was established in 2016 in Amsterdam, with a second opening in Barcelona in 2021. MOCO is famed for its wide range of modern and contemporary art, with 60% of MOCO visitors being museum first-timers.

MOCO will occupy the newly refurbished, stunning premises at One Marble Arch and 1 Great Cumberland Place, recently completed by The Portman Estate. The museum will be arranged over three floors, with contemporary and modern masters, digital art and a MOCO store featuring merchandise and souvenirs inspired by the collection.

We are thrilled to see the plans for MOCO Marble Arch approved unanimously by Westminster Council. This is MOCO’s first venture outside the continent, and a huge vote of confidence in London and the West End.

Marble Arch has become a magnet for culture and leisure operators following its transformation, with this investment by MOCO the latest boost. As one of the leading museums for modern, contemporary and street art, MOCO will be bringing iconic works to London for the first time.

We are very much looking forward to MOCO's big reveal at Marble Arch in 2024.
