As part of our services for members, we are hosting a range of training courses in 2020 designed with compliance, Health & Safety, security and customer service in mind. These courses are free for Marble Arch London BID members and each organisation may send up to 2 people to each course.

HR Management for Beginners, Wednesday 29 January 2020
Run by ACAS (The Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service) this practical full-day training is aimed at organisations without a dedicated HR department. It will cover the fundamentals of HR from recruitment to the end of employment and everything in between. Find out more.

Supporting Customers with a Learning Disability, Wednesday 26 February 2020
This short course will cover what learning disability is and how it can affect the experience of a customer in a retail, office or hospitality environment. Tips and practical advice will be given on how to identify and support customers with learning disabilities through optimal behaviour and communication.
Fire Marshal Training, Wednesday 11 March 2020
Get your Fire Marshals certified for three years by St John Ambulance on this half day course. Attendees learn actions on discovering a fire, common causes of fire, fire drills and evacuation, fire safety legislation, the role of fire marshal, fire safety precautions and how to use fire extinguishers.
Emergency First Aid Training, Tuesday 12 May 2020
Workplace First Aiders can learn basic first aid, including workplace health and safety regulations, managing an emergency, and how to perform emergency procedures for various issues. Successful delegates receive a St John Ambulance certificate valid for three years.
Keeping You Cyber Safe, Wednesday 10 June 2020
This short course will explain some of the jargon (e.g. Spam, phishing, ransomware) and help you understand the consequence of your IT actions. You will learn how to apply IT security best practice in both personal and business settings and get best practice advice for cyber safety.
