Our first Business Crime Group of 2020 will be held on Thursday 13 February from 2:00-3:30pm at the Victory Services Club.
Our main item will be a presentation from the Police regarding organised begging and flower selling and how we can support the Police to tackle this persistent issue.
Our colleagues from our local Business Crime Reduction Partnership Safer West End will also be present to talk about their secure DISC system on which we can upload details of incidents and follow up actions with the Police.
As always there will be an opportunity for you to raise any particular concerns you have with the Police.
To register your interest for our first Business Crime Group of 2020 on Thursday 13 February or for further information please email Mike in the BID team at email@example.com
Marble Arch London BID launched its Business Crime Group meetings in 2018 in response to pubs, restaurants and shops requests for tools to deal with certain types of antisocial behaviour, such as begging and harassing customers. Each meeting focuses on a different, relevant topic usually chosen by and relevant to our local businesses.
Any business in the Marble Arch area can join our Business Crime Group, which meets on a quarterly basis to receive up-to-date tips, tools and advice from the Metropolitan Police, Safer West End and Westminster City Council’s Integrated Street Engagement Unit.
We have created some downloads that might help businesses in terms of securing your shop, locking down your premises and security advice for schools – featured on our downloads page of the website.
