As the financial year draws to a close the BID has produced its annual report of activities, setting out projects and achievements over the past 12 months.
2024-25 has seen significant investment in the BID area, with more than 20 new businesses opening their doors. One Marble Arch welcomed Moco Museum, marking its first gallery in the UK. Meanwhile, new occupiers at Capital House and One Great Cumberland Place have settled in and actively engaged with BID initiatives. The transformed Montcalm Mayfair was unveiled in March 2025.
Collaborating with local businesses, residents, Westminster Council and Transport for London, we published the first-ever Placemaking Strategy for Edgware Road in partnership with The Church Commissioners and The Portman Estate.
In a major sustainability milestone, Transport for London delivered Central London’s largest sustainable urban drainage system in 2024. A network of rain gardens now stands at the former Joe Strummer subway, helping to prevent localised flooding.
Our Street Team continues to be one of the BID’s most valued assets, providing reassurance to businesses and visitors alike. Over the past 12 months, they have responded to 20,595 incidents.

The BID’s Community Programme reached record levels of volunteering in 2024, with over 300 volunteers dedicating more than 1,000 hours to support local causes. Donations from our members also surpassed previous years, with food, laptops, furniture and toys worth over £43,000 contributed to charity partners in 2024-25.
Last summer, Marble Arch became a hub for events and competitive socialising as we introduced breakdancing demonstrations and a fully booked pop-up padel court in a stunning setting, highlighting the area’s vibrant and dynamic appeal.

In partnership with The Church Commissioners for England, we brought a statue of everyone’s favourite bear to Connaught Village, to celebrate the release of Paddington in Peru.
We were also proud to bring the first illuminated Ramadan installation to Edgware Road in 2024, creating a welcoming atmosphere for the community and celebrating the diverse range of restaurants along the street throughout the month.
Our Christmas lights once again lit up Edgware Road, providing a festive boost to retailers during their busiest season, with the official switch-on led by local school pupils.

Meanwhile, our training series remains a key resource for members, with 131 individuals from 36 member companies benefiting from our sessions in 2024-25.
The BID is now entering the last year of its second term and will next year go through a balloting process to ask businesses for their support to continue for a further five years. As we approach this important milestone, we will be engaging closely with all members to shape the vision for the next phase of the BID.
