As you will have seen in the news, protester activity in central London continues and is likely to be an ongoing feature. Our security alert service allows members to receive information in advance about planned protests, marches and events in the district that may impact your operations. Over and above this, the BID team may receive intelligence from the police and reports of ongoing incidents, that we can push onto members quickly to provide out-of-hours support.
Our security team currently operate Monday to Thursday 8am to 10pm and Friday to Saturday 8am to midnight. Therefore as part of our programme to review and upgrade the services we offer, there is the option for members to provide us with out-of-hours contact details.
This means that should we become aware of any significant incidents affecting your premises or operations whilst you are closed (for example criminal damage etc.), we can help put you in touch with the appropriate bodies such as Westminster City Council and/or the emergency services should the need arise to help manage or address the situation.
Whilst some businesses already have a similar system in place, our approach is to offer the service to those who currently don’t have out of hours contracts and would like us to support them.
