Oxford Street Delivery and Servicing Survey

The pedestrianisation of Oxford Street between Great Portland Street and Orchard Street / North Audley Street, will see the introduction of dedicated timed access routes for deliveries between midnight and 07:00.

In preparation for works to remove traffic from Oxford Street, TfL have produced a survey to understand existing practices and opportunities to accommodate essential servicing, operations and deliveries as part of the transformation.

This survey builds on last year’s work. The earlier survey provided a useful baseline.  It was undertaken in November 2025, during consultation when proposals were still being developed.

Now that pedestrianisation is confirmed, dedicated timed access routes for delivery between midnight and 07:00 will be introduced, and businesses will need to change the way they arrange deliveries, servicing and waste collections. Business’ operational planning is likely to have evolved significantly.

This follow-up survey allows TfL to understand how views have changed as plans have become more concrete, and they are keen to glean more in-depth knowledge around waste collection arrangements.

The survey should only take around 15 minutes to complete and closes at 23:59 on 28 June 2026.

The MDC Boundary

The map below outlines the boundary the proposed Oxford Street Mayoral Development Area (MDA). The boundary stretches from one block east of Tottenham Court Road along Oxford Street and includes Marble Arch in the west. To maximise the benefits of the regeneration, the boundary includes some surrounding streets around Oxford Street.
