Postal Threat Training Session

The Marble Arch BID has teamed up with the Metropolitan Police Protective Security Operations team to provide a free online postal threat training session for Marble Arch BID members. This session will teach post room staff how to detect suspicious packages and how to handle them.

Everyday organisations send and receive large amounts of mail. Mail streams into and within an organisation present opportunities for malicious attacks or hoaxes, and without the appropriate security measures, this can affect day-to-day operations, as well as reputation.

Postal Threat Training

The ACT Postal Threat session lasts about 45- 60 minutes and includes:

  • An update on the current threat
  • How to recognise suspicious indicators for an item of mail
  • Actions to take on discovery of a suspicious item
  • The “Remove, Remove, Remove” protocol

This session will take place via MS Teams on Thursday 15 October 11am-12pm and 22 October 11am-12pm.

To book a place please email training@marble-arch.london

Please note this training session is not available as one of the ACT e-learning sessions. ACT Awareness eLearning provides nationally recognised corporate counter terrorism guidance to help industries learn how to spot the signs of suspicious behaviour and what to do if an attack should take place.
