In partnership with Marble Arch BID, volunteers from British Land and Hilton London Metropole have helped improve food access for those on low incomes through the scheme, as well as enhance wellbeing.

Social Supermarket is a space for anyone who is struggling financially or in need of help with their weekly shop to come and get a range of essential products. It runs on Wednesday mornings, from 9.30am – 10.30am. Members pay £3 per visit and are greeted by the team who help visitors choose items from each of these categories: dried food (rice, pasta and tinned produce), fresh produce and hygiene products.

The local service, by Love Marylebone, offers a lifeline to many in the community by providing low-cost store cupboard essentials as well as much-needed social interaction for isolated or lonely members of the community. The volunteer teams also help serve refreshments and chat to visitors in a friendly and welcoming environment.
