The Marble Arch Street Team has once again proven their dedication to safety and security in our community, with Street Team Supervisor Tarek Al-Nasseri winning the Emergency Response Award at the Pride of Retail Risk Awards 2025. The Emergency Response Award is awarded to individuals who, through their courage or skills, made a difference in an emergency. Tarek was a joint winner with Emma Lay, Security Officer at Total Security Services.
Held on 27 March 2025, the event celebrated excellence in retail risk management, and the Marble Arch Street Team was recognised for their outstanding commitment to keeping the area safe. Tarek, along with his colleagues, has consistently demonstrated professionalism, quick thinking and unwavering dedication to the people who live, work and visit Marble Arch.
The Marble Arch Street Team, operated by Lodge Service since April 2023, patrols the area six days a week, working closely with local businesses, Westminster City Council and the Metropolitan Police to ensure public safety. Their role extends beyond routine patrols, they assist with joint police initiatives, provide support at major events, and act swiftly in emergency situations.
One such emergency occurred on 24 August 2024. While on routine patrol in a local car park, the team noticed smoke coming from the front grill of a vehicle. Understanding the potential danger, they immediately assessed the situation and contacted the fire brigade. Thanks to their rapid response, the fire was extinguished before it could spread, preventing significant damage to other vehicles and adjoining business premises and ensuring public safety.
The swift and professional actions of the team earned high praise from both the vehicle owner, the attending Fire Brigade and Lodge Service’s senior leadership. This incident is just one example of how the Marble Arch Street Team consistently goes above and beyond to protect the community.
Celebrating alongside industry peers, Tarek and fellow award winners were commended for their outstanding contributions to public safety. The event was a night of celebration, with high-fives and a shared sense of pride in their achievements.
Tarek’s recognition at the Pride of Retail Risk Awards highlights the dedication and resilience of the entire Street Team. Their efforts not only make Marble Arch a safer place but also foster a strong sense of community. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Tarek and the team for this well-deserved recognition and thank them for their continued dedication to keeping Marble Arch safe.
