Join the West London Mission on Friday 25th October for their 8th ‘Sleep Out’ event to help support homeless people off the streets.
The ‘Sleep Out’ is an opportunity for you to be sponsored by friends, family and colleagues to sleep out for one night in support of the homeless. The event will be hosted in the secure gardens of St James’s Church, Piccadilly.
Last year a team of seven associates slept out in St James Church Yard to raise vital funds and awareness for West London Mission and the growing issue of homelessness in London. Setting up our camp for the night with cardboard boxes and warm clothes that we had bought was a humbling experience, as so many may not even have that luxury. We found the experience well organised with great community presence. There was even warm soup and hot drinks, as well as speakers and entertainment from people that the West London Mission have helped.

West London Mission operates within six different locations around London, including WLM Seymour Place, which is currently undergoing a major refurbishment. Seymour Place provides comprehensive advice and referral services, as well as on-site health support teams specialising in homelessness.
The charity are asking for all participants to raise £350, which would cover the cost of the resettlement of one of the charities service users. All participants will receive dedicated fundraising support, a WLM hoodie and an opportunity to make a real difference.
