The Coronation of Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla will take place on Saturday 6 May. The Coronation service will begin at 11am at Westminster Abbey. There will be ceremonial processions in London before and after the Coronation service.
The service and processions will be broadcast on national television, radio and online, and shown on large screens at several locations near Marble Arch.
The viewing areas along the procession route will open from 6am on 6 May, but people have been asked to avoid turning up before 6am. Once the viewing areas reach capacity, they will be closed.
Please be aware that large crowds are expected, and there will be road closures in place to ensure the event is delivered safely. Public transport services are likely to be very busy with some station closures and bus diversions, especially around the Westminster and Hyde Park areas. Hyde Park screening site
The Hyde Park screening site is located in the south-east corner of the park, covering the area around the Serpentine lake.
You can access the Hyde Park screening site from 5am on Saturday 6 May. However, please note that the broadcast will begin later in the morning, ahead of the first procession.
If you arrive at 5am, the screens may not be turned on and some facilities (such as food and drink kiosks) may not be open. Please do not arrive before 5am.
There are 4 screens at the Hyde Park screening site:
- Screen 1: Old Football Pitches (south of the Serpentine, close to South Carriage Drive) – facing west.
- Screen 2: Old Football Pitches (south of the Serpentine, close to South Carriage Drive) – facing east.
- Screen 3: The Cockpit (north side of the Serpentine, near the Norwegian War Memorial).
- Screen 4: Boathouse Lawn (north side of the Serpentine, next to the boathouse).

- Paddington (London Underground, Elizabeth Line, National Rail). This station has step-free access.
- Hyde Park Corner (London Underground). Exit only on 6 May.
- Marble Arch (London Underground)
- Knightsbridge (London Underground)
Please note that on Saturday 6 May Hyde Park Corner station will be exit only. After the events, police and stewards will direct you to the exits and to nearby transport hubs. If possible, please avoid travelling immediately after the events, as services will be very busy. There will be plenty of trains running during the day and late into the evening.
Green Park and St James’s Park screening sites
There are also a large screen at the Broad Walk in Green Park and a large screen near the Marlborough Gate in St James’s Park. Please note that these sites are smaller than Hyde Park, and are likely to reach capacity very quickly.

St James’s Park:

- Please enter from the north side of the Mall, using Marlborough Road or Duke of York Steps.
Please note that on Saturday 6 May St James’s Park station will be closed and Victoria station will have limited access to Green Park and St James’s Park because of road closures. If you exit at Victoria, you may be directed to the Hyde Park screening site.

On Sunday 7 May, there will be a screening of the Coronation Concert in St. James’s Park.
Grovesnor Square Garden Party
Mayfair’s Coronation Garden Party is taking place in Grovesnor Square from 10am to 8pm on Saturday 6 May, and from 12pm until the end of the Windsor Castle concert on Sunday 7 May.
Grab a deck chair and watch King Charles III’s Coronation ceremony and the Windsor Castle concert on a cinema-sized screen right in the heart of Grosvenor Square and enjoy live music throughout the coronation weekend.
Party-goers can expect a royal welcome with live screenings of the coronation events, a wide range of food and drink options, including ice cream from the Connaught Patisserie, coronation burgers from The Barley Mow, light bites from zero-waste restaurant Apricity, English sparkling wine from Roebuck, and summer cocktails from Mr. Fogg’s and The Twenty Two.

Paddington Recreation Ground
Enjoy an outdoor screening and community celebration of the Coronation on Saturday 6 May from 10.30am with live music ahead of the ceremony at 11am at the Village Green, Paddington Recreation Ground W9 1PD.
Bring along a picnic for the open air screening of the Coronation plus children’s activities including Coronation arts and crafts where you can make your flag or crown, face painting, bungee trampolines, wipeout challenge, soft play and circus skills including juggling and diablo.
Everyone is invited, the screening is not ticketed and open to all.
Please note that children must be accompanied by an adult.
Some seating will be available but please bring a picnic rug and your own food.
