Women in the Parks: Protest and Power

Put a spring in your step on Saturday 4 March 2023 from 10.30am-12pm with Women in the Parks by The Royal Parks, a special guided walk of Hyde Park in celebration of Women’s History Month.

From queens to pickpockets, petticoat duellists to protesters, this historical walk will explore the hidden stories of women in the park from its inception to date.

Come and stand at Speakers’ Corner, the site of Women’s Sunday in 1908 and hear the rousing words that suffragettes Emmeline Pankhurst and Flora Drummond said that day. Hear of the infamous pickpocket Jenny Diver who met her untimely end at the Tyburn hanging tree. Your guide will also reveal the camouflage school used during World War 1.

Tickets for Women in the Parks cost £12 and can be purchased here.
