In honour of Wimbledon, Lanes of London is serving a tennis inspired afternoon tea during the tournament weeks from 1-14 July.In the spirit of celebrating the oldest and most prestigious tennis tournament in the world, Wimbledon, the themed afternoon tea will feature savouries and sweets with a nod to classic favourites, as well as contemporary creations.
For instance finger sandwiches include classics like coronation chicken wrap, as well as newbie picked crab, lime mayonnaise and borage flowers on a fresh poppy seed roll. It doesn’t stop there – alongside plain scones you can indulge in a homemade rose and apricot version, as well as strawberry jam with lychee.
The sweets are a treat indeed with thematic delicacies like Pimms flower pot with custard mousse, an edible tennis court with valharona chocolate and pistachios, and white chocolate, matcha and raspberry ripple cone – just to name a few.
The full afternoon tea is a mere £28.50 or £32 with a Pimm’s cocktail.
